D.Y.Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur was established by the Padmashri recipient, Dr. D.Y. Patil in 1984 which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE), Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The institution is housed in its own buildings and has well equipped laboratories, workshops.
