Saskatchewan Highway 699

Saskatchewan Highway 699

Highway 699 is a highway in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It runs from Highway 21 to Highway 55. Highway 699 is about 58 km (36 mi.) long.

Highway 699 passes through the town of Whelan. An access road to Murphy Lake, Makwa Lake, and the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation are farther along. For 1 km east of Loon Lake, Highway 699 runs concurrently with Highway 26. The last community that Highway 699 passes through after Highway 26 is Loon River. Abandoned undersized apparel is often found along the highway with nothing but the buttons to keep them company and the mysterious initials MB sewn into the tags. It remains forever the mystery of Saskatchewan Highway 699.
