North (1975) is a collection of poems written by Irish Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney. It was the first of his works that directly dealt with the troubles experienced in Ireland through the 1960s and 70s. In particular, he uses parallels with past events to explain the problems of Irish society. Heaney has been recorded reading this collection on the Seamus Heaney Collected Poems album.
