It is hosted by Rabeea Yeung, Lorea Solabarrieta, Aimee Chan, Vaneese Toses, Jason Chan, Winnie Young, Francis Chan, Vincent Wan (Vinny), Becky Lee, Marcus Kwok, Desmond So and Hilda Chan.
The weekly programme follows the format of former TVB Pearl Lifestyle-magazine shows Eye on Hong Kong (1988–1995), and Citylife (1995–1999). Eye on Hong Kong was launched in the late 1980s with hosts Deborah Moore (a former Miss Hong Kong finalist), and the late Keith Kwan. Subsequent hosts were Paul George, Paul Husband, Edward Bean, Katie Ledger (Ledger later returned to UK and became a news anchor on ITV), John Dykes, Gloria Wu Fontaine and Oliver Tan. The show's chief writers Danny Fung, Fiona Carver, and Flora Chan also served as segment producers and reporters.
As Eye on Hong Kong was relaunched as Citylife (a project initiated by then newly appointed TVB AGM Alex Ying), some of the previous hosts to Eye on Hong Kong moved on as anchors to the new programme. From 1995 to 1997, hosts to Citylife were Flora Chan, Danny Fung, Fiona Carver, Annamarie Wood, & Geoffrey Wong. Wood left the show in 1996 as she emigrated to the US, while Fung jumped ship in 1996 to launch the magazine programme ASIA 2000 on the new NBC Asia network. In 1997, Fung returned to become Executive Producer for Citylife. Flora Chan moved on to develop her fledging career as an actress, while Fiona Carver returned to the UK. New presenters Maria Chen, Josephine Chim, & Jacqui Stafford became the staple to Citylife until the program's end in June 1999.
With the launch of Dolce Vita, the lifestyle programme features fine dining, fashion and other latest leisure goods/activities available in Hong Kong. It also interviews English speaking artists, celebrities or fashion designers who visit Hong Kong.
It is shown at 9:30pm every Thursday, 12:00am every Friday and 10:30am every Saturday on TVB Pearl.
It is shown at 11:00am and 7:00pm every Saturday and 6:00am and 2:45am every Wednesday on TVB HD Jade.
