"Didn't You Know" is an R&B song written and produced by Rich Harrison. It was recorded by Tha' Rayne in 2002 when the group was Yummy Bingham and Quana but released after DJ Qi joined. Two remixes of the song were released—one featuring Joe Budden, the other featuring Joe Budden and a then-unknown Lupe Fiasco.

On April 30, 2003, Arista distributed two versions of the new group's promo single. The first version had "Rock wit Me" on side A and "Didn't You Know" on side B. The second version had the opposite. A digital download was available June 2, 2003 and a commercial 12" vinyl single was released July 15, 2003.

The song peaked at number 76 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[1]

A music video was planned for September, but when the song didn't chart well, Arista cancelled the video shoot and pushed back the group's full-length release.[citation needed] A CD single, a new 12" single (including the remixes), and digital edition of the remixes were released October 13 and 14, 2003.
