Planned Expansion

It is planned to expand the current airport into an all-weather airport. A Rs. 195 crore proposal was submitted recently for land acquisition for the airport. It is proposed to acquire convert|650|acre|km2|abbr=on of surrounding land, of which convert|530|acre|km2|abbr=on is agricultural land.
