The nominees for the 73rd Academy Awards were announced on February 13 2001 by Academy president Robert Rehme and actress Kathy Bates, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in the Academy's Beverly Hills headquarters. The winners were announced March 25 at a ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
