London postal district , which was abolished in 1868.Similarly, there also S-prefixed postal districts in the compass-based system used in Glasgow prior to the rollout of the G postcode to that city: the former S1, S2, S3 and S4 areas on the South Side of Glasgow are now postcoded G41-G44.
The S20 and S21 districts were formerly numbered S19, S25 and S26 were formerly numbered S31, while S32 to S36 were formerly numbered S30.
The S64 district was originally earmarked as the DN13 postcode district. When viewed on a map a gap is formed in the geographic postcode pattern and is the reason why DN13 does not exist.
