Glenhuntly is located at the southern end of the Glen Huntly Road level crossing, with station access from Royal Avenue and Glen Huntly Road.
The station consists of three platforms, two in an island format. The island platform (platforms 1 & 2, Flinders Street & Frankston bound) has a large
brick building with an enclosed waiting room, a ticket office and toilets, while platform 3 (Frankston bound) has a small weatherboard building. A largeMetcard machine is located inside the waiting room, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accepts notes, coins andEFTPOS cards. A small coin-only Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 3. A smallsignal box is situated at the Melbourne end of the station, which controls the tramway crossing. Trains run a mere 15 km/h though it.Tram route 67 is a short walk from the station, on Glen Huntly Road.
History
Glenhuntly station opened on
