History
Melona launched in 1992 and intended to cover the domestic market with green color. Thanks to its smooth and rich taste of real melon flesh, the product set the best selling record in the domestic "Popsicle" market, selling 280 million bars in 1994, and has been one of the steadiest sellers so far.[2]
Popularity
Melona has continued to keep its popularity among many generations. However, it is only sold in convenience stores right now in South Korea. It can also be found in selected Korean stores around the world. According to data from Family Mart, Melona was among its top ten products sold in 2007. It was ranked as eighth.[3]
