This is an incomplete list of United States federal agencies. All are agencies within one of the three branches of the United States government. Executive Branch Departmental agencies are organized by department.

Independent agencies of the United States Government are also normally organized under the Executive Branch, but by definition are not subordinated under a cabinet position. Non-executive department independent government agencies are a group of very few exceptions, such as the Library of Congress, Congressional Budget Office, etcetera.
