History
Vermont Route 314 was first assigned in Vermont in 1924 as Vermont Route F-3. The northern part of current VT 314 (from Gordon Landing northward) was the entire length of VT F-3. The rest of the highway was unnumbered. The F-3 designation remained for about three decades, including an extension southward to Keeler Bay.
