A list of the prominent characters featured on the dark sketch comedy Wonder Showzen.

Puppets

Chauncey

Chauncey Darlington Butler's role is more prominent than the other puppets, serving as host of the program and frequently addressing the child-filled audience. Chauncey is sarcastic, offensive and often displays deviant behavior such as violating Mother Nature's left-over private parts when s/he undergoes a sex change (Episode 105: Nature) or humping a copy of The Bible during a 19th century trial (Episode 204: Justice) or even puking blood on Him (Episode 206: Cooperation). The "Chauncey" street stop in located in Brooklyn, on the MTA.

His middle and last names may be a reference to Kazuo Ishiguro's novel The Remains of the Day, in which the protagonist is a butler at "Darlington Hall." His middle and last names may be a reference to the two-time Medal of Honor recipient Brigadier General Smedley Darlington Butler who wrote the famous anti-war book War Is a Racket. Voiced by Vernon Chatman.

Clarence

Clarence is a funny sounding blue puppet. His videos include him talking to the people of New York City, constantly trying to push them over the edge. His rants are continuous as he repeats everything the other person says. He also asks or says very irrelevant questions or comments to people. There is typically one Clarence movie per episode. One possible exception is the 1st season episode "Patience", which features a lengthy film in the first half of the episode of Clarence asking people to look into the camera and say "Hey kids! It's important to be patient", and repeatedly interrupting them. In the new second half of the episode, titled "Speed", there is a short clip of a Clarence movie, depicting Clarence asking a toothless mason "What do you eat?". The entirety of the second season finale was dedicated to him as he asked New Yorkers to make compelling television, before "committing suicide" at the conclusion, being thrown from a helicopter into the depths of the ocean.

This puppet is voiced by Vernon Chatman.

Him

Him is based on a Gyro meat cone. Extremely dim-witted and venal, Him, speaks only in grammatically incorrect fragmented sentences. Voiced by John Lee.

Wordsworth

A red worm-like creature with two arms and an exposed brain. Voiced by John Lee

Sthugar

Supposedly made of cotton candy, Sthugar has a large fang protruding from her upper lip. She first appeared as an unnamed female pink puppet character in "Space". The character got a more prominent role in later episodes and was given a name in the 2nd season. Voiced by Alyson Levy, Lee's wife, as well as a fellow member of PFFR.

Letter N, Letter S and Letter i

Voiced by Vernon Chatman, Letter N is a self-destructive personification of the letter, who was depressed and had a baby with the Letter S, producing a small child, Letter i, who only appeared in the first episode. Together, the three letters spell out "Sin".

Middle America

Appears in Episode 203, "Knowledge." Middle America is shaped like a map of the red states (i.e. the states whose electoral votes went to George W Bush) in the 2004 United States presidential election. Middle America is dim-witted and arrogant and is a caricature of George W Bush. He is the creative force behind Horse Apples.

A.P. Gibralter

A large, red, multi-eyed news reporter. He usually begins his segment with the tagline "Breaking News at this hour!" Voiced by Vernon Chatman.

Mother Nature

Mother Nature appears in Episode 105 and is the only human-looking puppet in the show. In episode 105 she is in the process of having a "home sex change" operation, which causes various aspects of nature to exhibit strange phenomena. She dies while performing self-surgery but is brought back to life after Chauncey, who had been watching Mother Nature perform surgery, fornicates with her "lady parts" which she had deposited in a bin. At the end of the episode, Mother Nature is once again a woman.

Letter P

Appears in Episode 201, "Body." She is berated by the main four puppets for her obesity and receives liposuction.

Bootleg Puppets

Appear in Episode 206, "Cooperation." After Clarence kills C. Larence, his bootleg counterpart, a war between the original puppets and the bootlegs breaks out.

Animated characters

Mr. Body

A parody of Slim Goodbody.

D.O.G. O.B.G.Y.N.

A dog who assists women with childbirth.

Aunt Flo

A short cartoon of a red woman who emerges from a little girl's menstrual blood, apparently the personification of menstruation.

Winobot

A parody of RoboCop where a wino is rebuilt by mistake after an explosion which also involved a cop. The police department had intended to rebuild the cop, but due to a misunderstanding on the part of a participating doctor, the wino was rebuilt instead.

He-Bro

A parody of He-Man as a Black Jew.

Baby Mank

A muscle baby raised on man milk, commonly known as MANK.

Hobo Ops

An "elite" force of battle-scarred homeless Vietnam veterans, parodying G.I. Joe and The A-Team.

Yuck Yuck Goose and His Sidekick, His Butt

A short cartoon involving a duck whose anus is a time portal.

Wonder Showzen Preemies

A parody of Muppet Babies featuring infant versions of Chauncey, Him, Sthugar, and Wordsworth.

The Boogie Noogie Bunch

Consist of Happy Boogie, Grumpy Boogie, Baby Boogie, Poopie Boogie and Urban Boogie.This segment of the show is a parody of the "Care Bears".

Finger Force

A group of girls that morph into "attractive" teenagers by forcing themselves to vomit.
