History
The Wellington Catholic District School Board is the successor to The Wellington Catholic Separate School Board, which was established in the mid 1960's.
Mission statement
To continue to build a vibrant Catholic community committed to the celebration of each individual by fostering a love of learning, through quality educational experiences, enabling all to respond in a Christian way to the challenges of life.
Program
Wellington Catholic provides education from junior kindergarten to grade 12.
The kindergarten program ensures students have a good foundation for the challenges of grade one. The Board also provides early literacy programs to support children in grades 1 through 3. JK/Kindergarten is available at all elementary Catholic schools.
Catholic Secondary Education
The role of the Catholic faith in secondary schools reflects a commitment to lifelong learning, giving students a vision of faith to help them meet life’s challenges with success and integrity.
Along with nourishing the intellect, creativity and the physical gifts of students, there is a strong commitment to community and church involvement. This fosters a supportive extension of family for young adults in their development. Staff and faculty are selected to assist the Church in forming responsible and moral graduates.
