Diktatorat

Diktatorat

The Diktatorat were the ruling council of East Meg One, a Sov-Blok city in the Judge Dredd universe.

Ruling over the city, they were a triumvirate with the Supreme Judge and two other judges.

At the time of the Apocalypse War, the Supreme Judge was Josef Bulgarin, his deputies consisted of Judge Vlad and Judge Snekov. Judge Vlad was the main architect of the strategic attack against Mega-City One, Judge Snekov was the Sov-Judge behind the development of the energy shield which protected East Meg One from counterattack by Mega City T.A.D.S (Total Annihilation Devices).

The Diktatorat initially conducted the Apocalypse War from a deep nuclear proof bunker underneath the city. Eventually they were assassinated in a coup enacted by War Marshal Kazan, the commander of the East Meg front line troops.

A second Diktatorat, now renamed the Direktorate, commanded the New Kremlin, a floating refugee community of East Meg survivors in the Mediterranean Free State.

East Meg Two officially possessed a Direktorat in Judge Dredd: Shamballah, though it was referred to as "Diktatorat" by the East Meg characters (usually when being derogatory).
