As the longest serving (and only original) member,[2][3][4] Goodwyn has led the band from its modest garage band roots to multi-platinum sales.[3][4]
inFollowing the band's peak years during the 1970s and early 1980s, Goodwyn disbanded the group to pursue a solo career. After a brief relocation to the Bahamas, Goodwyn returned to Canada and reformed April Wine in 1992. He continues to lead the band to the present day.[2]
In January 2003ECMA Lifetime Achievement Award for his impact on the music industry of Atlantic Canada.[5][6][7][8]
Myles Goodwyn received anIn March 2008blues album featuring a slew of guest performers such as Amos Garrett, David Wilcox, Frank Marino, Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, and Rick Derringer (to name a few).[9][10]
, Goodwyn stated in an interview that he has been back in the studio recording his second solo effort Myles Goodwyn & Friends of the Blues, which is expected to hit store shelves mid way through the year. This will be an all-In leading the band April Wine, Myles was one of the few artists to be able to transfer the raw live sound to the band's studio albums.[clarification needed][citation needed]
