History
Co-founded as an ESL academy by Juan de Dios and Sandra Gonzalez in 1989, the Colegio Bilingue Real was originally called the "Royal English Academy."
The Colegio Bilingue Real has since been expanded piecemeal to include more levels of education. In 1991, the junior high school, Secundaria Bilingue Real, was added. Because of high local demand for quality education, the school incorporated both elementary and highschool by 1994. Since then, it has managed to break local, state and regional academic and cultural records. As of 2009, the school offers kindergarten, elementary, middle-school, highschool and college classes.
The school is currently called "Colegio Bilingue Real," which means "Royal Bilingual School."
Type of school
The school has an all around recognition for its exceeding excellence. It is considered the best option, money and academic wise. It is a school that works on all different levels to educate and prepare every student so that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. The school currently operates from pre-school to University. They are well known for their constant innovation on educational programs that are based on the preparation for successful and stress-free human beings with a strong sense of commitment, honesty and excellence in every task on hand. They are mostly recognized for their quality in the English department.
Royal high school
Installed in the same campus of the university, the Royal english academy offers bilingual education and extracurricular activities like dance, theater, cineclub, journalism, first aid, sports, digital art, numerical abilities, finishing school, oratory and declamation. The High school has a website of internet radio called "Radio Royal" where the students speak about subjects of present interest and the school.
The school has participated in different events like XI FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL TAMAULIPAS with CATS The Musical.
Royal university
The Royal Higher Education Center (in Spanish: Centro de Estudios Superiores Royal, CES-R) also known Royal University (Universidad Royal) or University of the Royal (Universidad del Royal). Is a private university founded on August 2003, having the intention, to be the option to study in an excellent university without leaving house and to form professionals with international vision, competitive spirit, and a solid national culture.
The university has a Lion's Club College Student where the members work in different projects to serve their community.

- According to the CENEVAL its Junior High is among the best 236 schools in Mexico.
- Its High School students have been several times the winners of a local prestigious science competition in the areas of Math, Physics and Chemistry, this competition is organized by a local university.
