Mission and vision

The following is the school's official mission statement:

*"Our mission as a Roman Catholic, college-preparatory institution is to provide a safe, structured, diverse, creative, and Christ-centered environment for all students that enables the development of their intellectual, spiritual and physical beings, so they can be productive members of family, community, and society."

The following is the school's statement on its various values and beliefs:

*Archbishop McCarthy High School, as a Christocentric institution, is dedicated to the spiritual development of our students. To emphasize this, we built our school chapel in the center of our campus.

*Archbishop McCarthy High School also requires that students give back to their community in the form of service hours. Service hours help students to realize the true meaning of Christ's teaching through hands on experience. These retreats help students develop a powerful, personal relationship with Christ beyond that of what the classroom studies offer. Throughout the students' high school career, they are required to complete designated amounts of service hours. They are highly encouraged to complete more than the assigned amount of hours.

The school is currently a member of or has staff membership in the following organizations::NAACP:Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development:Broward County Non-Public School Association:Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce:Florida Catholic Conference:Florida High School Activities Association:National Association of Secondary School Principals:National Catholic Education Association:National Honor Society of Secondary Schools:National Math Honor Society:Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
