Namagiripettai is a panchayat town in Namakkal district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Geography

Namagiripettai நாமகிரிப்பேட்டை is located at 10th kilometer from Rasipuram while travelling towards Attur on SH79, Map reference. It has an average elevation of 273 metres (895 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census[1], Namagiripettai had a population of 21,447. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Namagiripettai has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 51%. In Namagiripettai, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
