Gautama Siddha (zh-cp|c=瞿昙悉达|p=Qútán Xīdá, fl. 8th century) was a Chinese translator,
astronomer ,astrologer and compiler of Indian descent, known for leading the compilation of the "Treatise on Astrology of the Kaiyuan Era " during theTang Dynasty . He was born inChang'an , and his family was originally fromIndia , according to a tomb stele uncovered in 1977 inXi'an . The Gautama family had probably settled in China over many generations, and might had predate even before the establishment of Tang. He was most notable for his translation ofNavagraha calendar into Chinese.References
