children's programming block that began onCBS onSeptember 15 ,2007 replacing theKOL Secret Slumber Party which premiered onSeptember 16 ,2006 which in turn replaced "Nick Jr. on CBS " (later "Nick on CBS"), which was jointly produced byViacom and Nickelodeon before CBS and Viacom became two separate companies. All programming in this block is in compliance with Federal "E/I " requirements -- as mandated by theFederal Communications Commission . The block is programmed by Cookie Jar Entertainment (the successor to block creator DIC Entertainment) in conjunction withAmerican Greetings (the former also programmed the previous Secret Slumber Party block). The block is also a tie-in with a monthlyteen magazine , "Kewl", which was established in part by DiC in May 2007.History

In mid-2007, KOL withdrew sponsorship of the block. [http://www.animationmagazine.net/article/7271] Afterwards, CBS and DIC announced a new partnership with American Greetings Corporation to produce the new KEWLopolis programming block.
On June 20, 2008, it was announced that DIC would be acquired by
