Mizusawa-Esashi Station (水沢江刺駅 Mizusawa-Esashi Eki?) is a railway station on the JR East Tōhoku Shinkansen. It is located in Ōshū, Iwate, Japan.

Station structure

The station has two platforms serving two tracks.

1 Tōhoku Shinkansen For Morioka and Hachinohe
2 Tōhoku Shinkansen For Sendai and Tokyo

Ordinary tickets, express tickets, and reserved-seat tickets for all JR lines are on sale at the station.

History

The station opened on March 14, 1985, three years later of the opening of the Tōhoku Shinkansen.[2]
