Howard Transit is the primary public transit system in Howard County,

Howard Transit operates nine routes -- designated by color -- to various parts of the county and surrounding areas:
*Blue Route -- travels from Clarksville to the
Mall in Columbia .*Brown Route -- travels from the
Mall in Columbia through the Columbia villages of Oakland Mills, Owen Brown, and Kings Contrivance.*Green Route -- travels through the Columbia villages of Wilde Lake, Hickory Ridge, and Harper's Choice.
*Gold Route -- travels from the
Mall in Columbia through the Columbia villages of Oakland Mills and Long Reach, and ends in Jessup.*Orange Route -- travels from the
Mall in Columbia through the Columbia villages of Hickory Ridge and Kings Contrivance.*Purple Route -- travels from Elkridge to Laurel.
*Red Route -- travels through the village of Long Reach in Columbia.
*Silver Route -- travels through the village of Owen Brown in Columbia and also goes to the Maryland Wholesale Food Center in Jessup, Dorsey MARC rail station, Arundel Mills Mall, and
BWI Airport .*Yellow Route -- travels from the
Mall in Columbia to Ellicott City.All routes except Purple have one or both ends at the
Mall in Columbia . The Purple Route meets the Gold and Silver Routes at the Maryland Food Center. The Red, Silver, and Brown Routes all meet at Snowden Square.Connections to Other Systems
