Yugoslavian Radio Television

Jugoslovenska radio-televizija or Jugoslavenska radiotelevizija (JRT, Yugoslavian Radio-Television) was the national public broadcasting service of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, an association consisting of the subnational radio and tv centers based in the each of the constituent countries of the Yugoslav federation, then officialy called:
*RTV Belgrade, Belgrade, SR Serbia
*RTV Ljubljana, Ljubljana, SR Slovenia
*RTV Sarajevo, Sarajevo, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina
*RTV Skopje, SR Macedonia
*RTV Titograd, Titograd, SR Montenegro
*RTV Zagreb, Zagreb, SR CroatiaIt also included the broadcasters of the constituent autonomous areas:
*RTV Novi Sad, Novi Sad, SAP Vojvodina
*RTV Priština, Priština, SAP Kosovo

JRT was one of the founding members of the European Broadcasting Union and SFR Yugoslavia was the only socialist country among its founding members.Among other activities, it organized the Yugoslav Eurovision Song Contest pre-selection "Jugovizija" and broadcasted the both events for the Yugoslav audience.

During the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia, many of its former federal units proclaimed themselfes independent states, upgrading the once subnational broadcasting centers based in their capitals to national, but with altered names, for example: "RTV Zagreb" to "Croatian Radio Television" and so on.
