European Broadcasting Union fromBosnia and Herzegovina .It was known as RTVBiH (Radio-Televizija Bosne i Hercegovine) from
1992 until1998 , when it was restructured into the current service. On January 1, 1993, RTVBiH was admitted as an active member of theEuropean Broadcasting Union . The membership was transferred to the new parental broadcasting organisation PBSBiH in 2000.RTVBiH (and consequently BHRT) grew out of RTV Sarajevo in 1992, one of eight principal broadcasting centers of former Yugoslavia, others being RTV
Ljubljana , RTVZagreb , RTVBeograd , RTVNovi Sad , RTV Titograd, RTVPriština , and RTVSkopje .BHRT currently consists of three public broadcasting organisations:
#BHRT (Radio-Televizija Bosne i Hercegovine) a national public broadcasting corporation which has been formed to operate the national television channel (BHT1) and the national radio service (BH Radio 1).
#RTVFBiH (Radio-Televizija Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine) which operates on own channels and frequencies in theFederation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and broadcasting in Bosnian and Croatian.
#RTRS (Radio-Televizija Srpska) which operates on own channels and frequencies in theRepublika Srpska , broadcasting in Serbian.External links
