Scheels All Sports is a U.S. sporting goods store located in seven Midwest states. It is headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota. Scheels is an employee-owned company.

History

In 1902, Frederick A. Scheel opened the first Scheels store in Sabin, Minnesota. The company later moved to Fargo, North Dakota. Scheels originally was a hardware store, until 1954, when sporting goods were added. Clothing was added in 1972.

In addition to the current Scheels stores in the Midwestern part of the country, the company recently announced plans to build the world's largest sports store in Sparks, Nevada scheduled to open October, 2008.
