(1991)Corazones is an album by Chilean band Los Prisioneros, first released in 1990. It was produced by Gustavo Santaolalla (with Anibal Kerpel's collaboration) for EMI Odeon Chilena. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Los Angeles, California.
The band left behind the social criticism on their lyrics, in order to persuade a whole new phase based in romantic and electronic stuff, with the support of Cecilia Aguayo on keyboards and Robert Rodríguez on guitars. This was also, the first record without the former member Claudio Narea.
Once the promotion step of the album was finished, two performances followed in the 1991 edition of the International Music Festival of Viña del Mar. The band will later break apart, to return to the stage in 2001.
In the US, Corazones was released by Capitol Records.
According to the magazine Rolling Stone Chile, "Corazones" is in the ninth place of the best chilean albums. In addition, "La voz de los 80" is in the third place, and "Pateando piedras" in the fifteenth place.
