Nozhay-Yurtovsky District (Russian: Ножа́й-Ю́ртовский райо́н; Chechen: Ножи-Юртан кIошт, Noʒi-Yurtan Khoşt) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifteen in the Chechen Republic, Russia. Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Nozhay-Yurt.^[2] District's population: 49,448 (2010 Census preliminary results);^[3] 40,542 (2002 Census);^[2] 48,770 (1989 Census).^[6] Population of Nozhay-Yurt accounts for 12.5% of the district's population.^[2]

Overall health performance indicators of the district are much worse than officially reflected, considering the remote geographic location of the district and that most of its populace has limited access to state health care.^{[citation needed]} As of 2004, the mortality rates were among the highest in the republic.^{[citation needed]}
