Note - The third Mickey Mouse cartoon produced. First entry in series to have sound.4 "The Barn Dance" Walt Disney March 14, 1929 Mickey wants to take Minnie to a dance, but Pete's flashy car beats Mickey's horse-drawn wagon as her transportation of choice. At the dance, Mickey uses a balloon to make himself light on his feet - the perfect dancing partner - but this doesn't keep Minnie at his side for long, either.

Note - The first short where Mickey wears gloves.6 "When the Cat's Away" Walt Disney May 3, 1929 While Tom Cat, drunk on bootlegged hooch, is away hunting, Mickey, Minnie, and an army of mice ransack the feline's home for food.

Notes - More or less a remake of the Alice Comedies called Alice Rattled by Rats. Mickey and Minnie are the size of regular mice.7 "The Plow Boy" Walt Disney June 28, 1929 Mickey flirts with Minnie on the farm, but she spurns him - making him look bad in the eyes of his helper, Horace Horsecollar.

Note - First appearance of Patricia Pig.10 "Mickey's Choo - Choo" Walt Disney October 1, 1929 Mickey's running a small-town railroad. He takes Minnie for a wild ride on a humanized train which eventually rumbles out of control.

Other Apperance: Parrot14 "Haunted House" Walt Disney December 2, 1929 Mickey weathers a ferocious storm inside an old haunted house where he is compelled to play the organ for the ghost and skeleton dance. 15 "Wild Waves" Walt Disney December 21, 1929 Mickey rescues Minnie from drowning, then plays music with various beach animals. He scat-sings to "Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep."

Note - The first Mickey mouse cartoon with a logo.17 "Fiddling Around / Just Mickey" Walt Disney March 14, 1930 Mickey plays "Traumerei," the finale to the William Tell Overture, and a Hungarian dance in a rousing (and ridiculously silly) violin performance. 18 "The Cactus Kid" Walt Disney May 15, 1930 Riding in on Horace, Mickey enters a western town, fails to impress a Mexican Minnie with his mischievous antics, but succeeds in saving her from the dastardly Pegleg Pedro.

Notes - First appearance of Pluto.22 "The Gorilla Mystery" Burt Gillett October 10, 1930 Ingagi the Gorilla has escaped from the zoo, captures Minnie, and ties her up in her own attic. Mickey hunts down the attacker, plays cat and mouse, but finally captures the ape.

Note - First appearance of Ingagi the Gorilla.23 "The Picnic" Burt Gillett October 23, 1930 Mickey and Minnie go picnicking but make the mistake of bringing Pluto along. The hound chases rabbits and damages Mickey's car; meanwhile, animals ransack the picnic lunch and Mickey sings "In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree."
Other Appearance - Minnie Mouse, Pluto24 "Pioneer Days" Burt Gillett December 5, 1930 Mickey and Minnie are out West, then attacked by Indians. Minnie is captured and Mickey is, too, when he comes looking for her, but she escapes and rescues him; later, they disguise themselves as soldiers and scare the entire tribe into the hills.
Other Appearance - Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar25 "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" Walt Disney December 25, 1930 A sing-a-long reel made for the Mickey Mouse Clubs featuring Mickey leading a rendition of the theme song. 26 "The Birthday" Burt Gillett January 7, 1931 Minnie, Horace, and Clarabelle join hordes of others for a big birthday celebration. Mickey and Minnie jam on "I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Baby," then Horace and Clarabelle perform a dance and some scat-singing to "Darktown Strutters' Ball."

He tries to take Percy Pig to an appointment, but loses him on the way. He then tries to bring Minnie to her music lesson, but a detour through a barnyard and an encounter with a snake-oil salesman ruin that plan, too
Other Appearances - Minnie Mouse28 "The Castaway" Wilfred Jackson April 6, 1931 Mickey's shipwrecked on a desert island with bananas, wild animals, and a piano. 29 "The Moose Hunt" Burt Gillett May 3, 1931 Mickey and Pluto hunt for moose, the hunt being delayed when Mickey thinks he's shot Pluto and, later, when Mickey's gun falls apart in the foe's face.
Other Appearance - Pluto30 "The Delivery Boy" Burt Gillett June 13, 1931 Mickey's delivering musical instruments, but stops his wagon to take them out and "test" them with Minnie - a project that leaves her farm and most of the instruments in ruins, and Mickey's mule without his hair.

Other Appearances - Minnie Mouse, Pluto38 "The Duck Hunt" Burt Gillett January 28, 1932 Mickey and Pluto go duck hunting, stopping to jam to "Columbia, Gem of the Ocean." The ducks get their own back, carrying the hunters through the air and dropping them on a clothesline.
Other Appearances - Pluto39 "The Grocery Boy" Wilfred Jackson February 11, 1932 Mickey goes shopping for Minnie, but is late bringing the groceries back. She acts haughty as a result, then softens. She and Mickey make dinner in time to the music, but Pluto steals the turkey and causes chaos when they try to retrieve it.
Other Appearances - Minnie Mouse, Pluto40 "The Mad Dog" Burt Gillett March 5, 1932 Pluto swallows the soap while being bathed, then runs away. His soapy slobber makes locals think he's gone mad, and they call the dogcatcher to catch him.

Notes - First appearance of Goofy43 "Musical Farmer" Wilfred Jackson June 23, 1932 One of Mickey's hens lays a giant egg, and the whole farm celebrates, preparing to take a photograph of the great event.
Other Appearances - Minnie Mouse44 "Mickey in Arabia" Wilfred Jackson July 18, 1932 Mickey and Minnie are on vacation when Sultan Pete tries to capture Minnie for his harem.
Other Appearance - Minnie Mouse45 "Mickey's Nightmare" Burt Gillett August 13, 1932 Pluto licks a sleeping Mickey, causing him to dream that Minnie's kissing him - and proposing marriage. The imagined union turns to catastrophe as tons of little mice demolish the house.
Note: Mickey gets tied up in rope at the end of his nightmare.
Other Appearance - Minnie Mouse, Pluto46 "Trader Mickey" Dave Hand August 20, 1932 While taking a shipload of musical instruments along the African coast, Mickey and Pluto are captured by cannibals. The savages plan to eat them until Mickey trades the instruments for their freedom, then engages in a wild jam session to "The Darktown Strutters' Ball."
Other Appearances - Pluto47 "The Whoopee Party" Wilfred Jackson September 17, 1932 Mickey and his pals throw a wild party - so wild that roast chickens and lamps come to life and join in the chaos. The police come to put down the racket, but end up joining in themselves.

When they get away and fly around Minnie's house, an old cat tries to catch them and Mickey destructively tries to keep that from happening.
Other Appearances - Minnie Mouse, Pluto50 "The Klondike Kid" Wilfred Jackson November 12, 1932 While at a club in the middle of winter Mickey finds Minnie stranded in the cold and Mickey brings her in to comfort her, But when "Pegleg" Pete enters with a bang and capturing Minnie and escaping on his sled, Mickey also chases him on his sled and making some rough crashes on the way and then Mickey must battle Pete in order to save Minnie.
