The unicameral National Assembly of Togo is the country's legislative body. It has a total of 81 members who are elected in a party list proportional representation system. Members serve five-year terms.

Following the 2007 parliamentary election, political party distribution in the National Assembly is as follows:

• Rally of the Togolese People (RPT) - 50 seats
• Union of Forces for Change (UFC) - 27 seats
• Action Committee for Renewal (CAR) - 4 seats

In the previous parliamentary term (2002–2007), party representation was as follows:

• RPT - 72 seats
• Rally for the Support of Democracy and Development (RSDD) - 3 seats
• Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) - 2 seats
• Togolese Youth Movement (JUVENTO) - 2 seats
• Believers' Movement for Equality and Peace (MOCEP) - 1 seat
• Independent - 1 seat

Six women occupied seats in the 2002–2007 National Assembly.

Abass Bonfoh is the current President of the National Assembly (since 2005).
