Palmetto Bay is a incorporated village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 24,469 at the 2000 census.

Palmetto Bay includes two census-designated places defined in the 2000 census, Cutler and East Perrine.

Geography

Palmetto Bay is located at coor dms|25|37|38|N|80|19|15|W|region:US_type:landmark.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 22.6 km² (8.8 mi²). 22.5 km² (11.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.44%) is water.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 24,469 people, 7,970 households, and 6,783 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,082.7/km² (3155.6/mi²). There were 8,145 housing units at an average density of 360.4/km² (925.6/mi²).
