Canada Flight Supplement [CFS]Fort Good Hope (or the Charter Community of K'asho Got'ine) is a charter community in the
Sahtu Region of theNorthwest Territories ,Canada . It is located on a peninsula between Jackfish Creek and the east bank of theMackenzie River , about 145 km (90 mi) northwest of Norman Wells. The two principal languages are North Slavey and English. Hunting and trapping are two major sources of income.According to the 2006 Census the population is 557, of which 515 are
First Nations .The only access is by
Fort Good Hope Airport from Inuvik and Norman Wells and by shipping along the Mackenzie River in the summer. The NWT government is seeking federal funding to help extend theMackenzie Highway from Wrigley to Tsiigehtchic, where it would connect with theDempster Highway .Fort Good Hope is represented by the
