National Sports Stadium (Zimbabwe)

The National Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium, in Harare, Zimbabwe, with a capacity of 60,000 people.

It is used mostly for football matches, but is also used for rugby union.

The stadium played host to Amnesty International's Human Rights Now! Benefit Concert on October 7, 1988. The show was headlined by Sting and Peter Gabriel and also featured Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tracy Chapman, Youssou N'Dour and Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi.

The 6th All-Africa Games were held here in 1995.

The stadium was closed for 20 months, starting November 2006, for major renovations.[1]

This venue held a friendly football match on 2 June 2010 between Zimbabwe and Brazil of which the away side triumphed 3-0.
