High school career
Muhlbach attended Lufkin High School in Lufkin, Texas and was a good student and a football player. As a senior football player, he was the Team Special Teams MVP, and earned Academic All-District honors.
College career
Muhlbach attended Texas A&M University. He also saw action at punter as a sophomore.
Professional career
He went as a undrafted free agent into the NFL in 2004. He signed initially with the Baltimore Ravens, and was released shortly after. In early November the Detroit Lions signed him and he has been there since.[1]
