Daughters of the Cross is a religious congregation of the Catholic Church founded in Liège in 1833. The foundress, Mère Marie Therese (Jeanne Haze), sent her Sisters over to England in 1863. Its formal title is The Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross of Liège.
Daughters of the Cross is constituted as a registered charity in the United Kingdom. In 2006–7 it had a gross income of £56,197,000,[1] making it one of the 100 largest charities in the UK.[2]

Works in England
- St Philomena's Catholic High School for Girls, Carshalton, Surrey, is a Technology College. In early 2004, it was awarded a prize for the best school in London and second best in Britain for nurturing pupils' progress. It is a comprehensive school that is teaching more than 1,000 girls aged 11–18. It has recently become a language college. In February 2005, OFSTED stated: "St Philomena's provides a very good education for its students which in many respects is excellent. The school has some areas of outstanding practice."
- St Wilfred's, Tite Street, Chelsea, London is the Provincial House and also a residential home for forty four men and women. The aim is to help them retain as much of their independence as possible and to offer them love, care, spiritual support and dignity in their later years.
