Paoli Station is a commuter rail station located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia at 13 Lancaster Avenue(US 30), Paoli, Pennsylvania, 19301. [http://maps.google.com/maps?q=North+Valley+Road+%26+Lancaster+Ave,+Paoli,+PA&spn=0.020163,0.028049&hl=en] . It is served by Amtrak's "Keystone Service" and "Pennsylvanian" trains, and SEPTA R5 Paoli-Thorndale trains except the Bryn Mawr locals. The station has a waiting room and a coffee shop.

The SEPTA ticket office and waiting room are open weekdays 5:10 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. excluding holidays, Saturdays 7:50 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., and Sundays 8:25 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

The Amtrak ticket window is open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. An Amtrak QuikTrak machine is available when the station is open. There are 176 parking spaces at the station.

This station is in fare zone 4, and is 19.9 track miles from Suburban Station. In 2003, an average of 1,462 people boarded the SEPTA R5 train each weekday. In federal fiscal year 2006, 80,936 people boarded Amtrak trains at this station. Paoli is the 5th-busiest Amtrak station in Pennsylvania and 4th-busiest in the state served by the "Keystone Service". [ [http://www.amtrak.com/pdf/factsheets/PENNSYLVANIA05.pdf State Of Alabama ] ]

Plans have been drawn up for an expanded Paoli station on the site of the former Pennsylvania Railroad/Amtrak/SEPTA train shed and repair facility. [http://www.tredyffrin.org/departments/community/planning/paoli-master-plan/ptc.aspx] This facility was contaminated with PCBs; cleanup of the shed property where the future station may stand was completed in 2005 as a Superfund project.
