TCHS Football
The Tift County High School plays in the GHSA class 1-AAAAA at Brodie Field. They have won one state championship in the past years and went to the semi-finals six times. Coach Jay Walls resigned at the conclusion of the 2011 season after a 3 win season. A repalcemant has yet to be found.

- Todd Fordham, former NFL football player for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers.
- Clay Shiver, an All-American American football player and a member of Florida State University's all-time football team[2]. Shiver continued his career by playing for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.
