Our Own English High School, Al Ain(مدرستنا الثانوية الإنجليزية، العين) is a private profit-making K-12 education establishment, founded in 1992, located in the Manasir Area of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates. It has been recognized by the Ministry Of Education in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and is run by the Prinicipal, R.W. Miller. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board of New Delhi in India, and the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Board of The United Kingdom. It is Part of GEMS Education. GEMS, Global Education Management Systems, is an organization, operating in the field of education through its various educational establishments across the globe.

Education

According to the official website of Our Own English High School, Al Ain, The standard of education is considered to be of high quality. An independent source has claimed that Learning at Our Own takes place in a friendly and supportive environment that encourages positive individual and collective achievement. All Teachers have been trained in the use of the Interactive SMART board. The medium Of instruction is in English. Other Languages are also taught. Arabic(عربي) is a compulsory subject till Advanced Subsidiary level (AS) or eleventh grade, from then on it's optional. Other languages are also taught like Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali(Bangla), Urdu and French. Physical Education also plays an important role in the student development of the school.

School Canteen	1 School Canteen located near the Football Field. It also sends food into the school buildings so students and staff can easily purchase comestibles.
Store	A Book and Uniform store located in the reception area.
Medical Centre	Ideally located near the kindergarten section for quick and easy access for young children in immediate need of medical assistance. It is also equipped with a full time nurse.
School Transport	The school used to own the transportation system, but it is now owned by a company, known as Bright Bus Transport.
Play Areas	There are a few play areas, including a basketball court a football court, a volley ball court and a cricket pitch.[1]
