History
Initially launched for Hong Kong (in traditional Chinese ) in 1999, OpenRice.com has been well received by local diners. An English version was introduced to accommodate the increasing demand for foreign residents in Hong Kong. As of July 2011, the Hong Kong website alone has about 35,000 recorded restaurants, 450,000 registered diners and over 500,000 ratings and comments.
