The album was recorded at Woodshed Studio in southern, Germany with engineer V. Santura. The album is set for release by Relapse Records on March 29, 2011.
The album is based on Friedrich Schelling's "On Nature's Connection to the Spirit World".[4]
Obscura Released the track "Septuagint" to the public on January 19, 2011.[5][6]
The album will have a limited edition which includes exclusive bonus track "Concerto", embroidered Obscura patch, guitar pick, and an album cover sticker.
The second song from Omnivium, "Vortex Omnivium", was released to the public on February 24, 2011.[7]
Omnivium debuted at #11 on the USA's Top Heatseekers chart[8] and at #14 on Germany's Media Control Newcomer chart.[9]
