Cosmogenesis is the second studio album released by German death metal band Obscura. The album debuted at #71 on the Top Heatseekers chart.^[5]

A music video was released for the song "Anticosmic Overload".

The song "Incarnated" is based on a poem by Goethe.^{[citation needed]}

The songs "Desolate Spheres" and "Centric Flow" are based on the poem "The Dance of Shiva".^[6]
