OakDale is an unincorporated community in north central Erath County, Texas, United States. OakDale is located along Texas State Highway 108, between the intersections of Fm-3205 and County Road 456. OakDale formerly had two churches, one of which relocated to nearby Stephenville and is still known as OakDale United Methodist Church. The Baptist church disbanded. A cemetery with a community center, a Soda Shoppe and Steak House, and a Volunteer Fire Department existed at the community through out the 2000s.
