- List of Norwegian supercentenarians
-
These are a lists of Norwegian supercentenarians (people from Norway who have attained the age of at least 110 years.) There have been at least ten.[1] Norway's oldest person ever was Maren Bolette Torp,[2] who died in 1989, aged 112 years 61 days. As of 21 November 2011, there is no living supercentenarian in Norway whose lifespan has been verified by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). (GRG researches and documents cases of extreme human longevity.) For a person's lifespan to be listed on this page as "verified," it must be backed by at least three documents, validated by GRG. GRG lists as "pending" those individuals whose lifespans are backed by at least one document, but not the three necessary for "verification" by GRG. Those whose lifespans are listed by GRG as "unverified" are not (yet) backed by any documents.
