This is a list of the 101 verified oldest people in world history. In order to be included on this list, an age claim must have been verified by an international, rather than a national, body. As of CURRENTDATE, this list contains four living supercentenarians, the oldest of whom is American woman Edna Parker (age age in years and days|1893|4|20). The title of oldest verified person in history belongs to Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment (1875 - 1997), who lived to be 122 years and 164 days old. Of the people on this list 10 are male and 91 are female.

The following is the list of verified oldest people, arranged in descending order, based on each individual's age in years and days. A "year" typically refers to a calendar year, the time between two dates with the same name. However, years may be of different lengths due to the presence or absence of a leap day within the year, or to the conversion of dates from one calendar to another. A supercentenarian is considered "verified" if his or her claim has been accepted by an international body that specifically engages in longevity research, such as the Gerontology Research Group or the Guinness Book of World Records. This list automatically updates the ages of those still living to reflect the current date (today is FULLDATE).
