New Tango Orquesta is a Swedish chamber music group, formed in 1996, consisting of Per Störby, Livet Nord, Thomas Gustavsson, Josef Kallerdahl, Peter Gran and Johanna Dahl, based in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

The leader of the group is the composer Per Störby, and with him they have explored and developed the concept of ”nuevo tango” on several albums and tours all over the world. They have made their own unique mix of baroque music, nuevo tango, free improvisation and minimalism, and are known for their special sound with lots of dynamic.

Their third album “Bestiario” was nominated for a Swedish Grammy award 2005. They have made music for several movies, TV-series, dance- and theatre-plays. During 2009 they released two albums: “The Kiev Concert”, a live recording from the October Palace in Kiev (Ukraine), and “Vesper”, their fourth studio album.
