Established in 2008, and formerly known as Florida Online School of Insurance, it provides pre-license insurance education for various insurance license designations, and aims to be the leader among Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance schools.[1] In addition to satisfying an individual's pre-licensing requirement, National Online Insurance School offers enrolled students the ability to participate in a Student Referral Program, which allows each student to earn incentives for every new applicant they refer for training.

National Online Insurance School is a state approved pre-license insurance school that provides online training for Life & Annuity, Health, and Life & Variable Annuity, Health insurance license designations. Best known for its entirely flash based virtual classroom with full screen instructional videos and exam simulators, National Online Insurance School offers a nonlinear approach to learning.[2] In contrast to the scheduling typically found within a classroom setting, students logging into the online insurance school can learn at their pace while asking questions to instructors via email and telephone.
Upon completion of course material, students are required to pass an online final exam with a score of 70% or greater in order to receive credit of the course. Once the final exam is passed, students must then pass the state insurance exam to receive their license.

Online courses cover numerous insurance topics such as life insurance, health insurance, annuities, Social Security, retirement plans, accident death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D), disability insurance, insurance underwriting, and state laws and rules pertaining to the aforementioned.
