MuxCo (Mid & West Wales), as the name suggests, is the name of the DAB multiplex operator for Wales. It serves and area similar to the analogue area served by Radio Pembrokeshire, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Ceredigion and Radio Maldywn. It is one of the rare licences in which it uses two frequencies. Block 10C serves the Mid-Wales area with Block 12D serving the South Western corner of Wales (Pembrokshire & Carmarthenshire).

It is a consortium made up of two companies - Town & Country Broadcasting owning 70% with transmitter company National Grid Wireless owning the other 30%.

The DAB licence was advertised by Ofcom on November 28, 2007. At the close on February 20, 2008, the regulator had received only one application, from MuxCo (Mid & West Wales). They had to wait until March 18, 2008, before they were confirmed as having won the licence.

Only two transmitters are confirmed as carrying the platform initially; Preseli, and Carmel, although a further two transmitters were also confirmed as Fishguard and Kilvey Hill, but these would be switched on within a year of the initial switch on. As required, the two BBC regional service have to be carried on this platform.
