Cascais Municipality (Portuguese pronunciation: [kɐʃˈkajʃ]) is located in Lisbon District. It contains the town of Cascais. It has 205 117 inhabitants, according to 2011 census, in 2001 it had 170 683 inhabitants. This fact means that from the municipalities of Portugal, Cascais experienced one of the highest growth ratios in terms of population, over this ten year period.
