Mrisho Alfani Ngassa (born 5 May 1989) is a Tanzanian footballer who plays club football for Azam FC and international football for Tanzania.

Club career

In April 2009, Ngassa was invited to trial with English Premier League side West Ham United.^[1] On May 21, 2010, Ngassa joined Azam FC for $40,000. This was the biggest transfer move in Tanzanian football. Mrisho Ngassa is currently on trial with Seattle Sounders FC and came on as a substitute against Manchester United in a friendly match. Before being on trial in Seattle, he was on trial at African Lyon.

International career

He was the top scorer in the 2009 CECAFA Cup with 5 goals as Tanzania finished fourth in the tournament. His dribbling skills and speed has helped Tanzania.
