Mount Pleasant is a British comedy-drama set in Manchester, England. It debuted on Sky1 on 24 August 2011. The show is part of Sky's multi million pound investment into original comedy shows.

Premise

The show is about the day-to-day life of the main character Lisa, her husband, parents, as well as neighbours, and colleagues. Each episode is an hour long and takes place in various locations, including the cul-de-sac Lisa lives in, her workplace, local pub The Dog and Dart, and her widowed friend's café.

Production

The series is produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, and was filmed in Hale, Greater Manchester[1] and also at The Sharp Project studio in Newton Heath, Manchester throughout June 2011.[2]

After the conclusion of the first series, it was announced Mount Pleasant had been recommissioned for a Christmas special and a second series. [3]
